KUALA LUMPUR, May 27 — Selangor FC burst into life in the second half of their Super League match to sink Negeri Sembilan FC (NSFC) 4-0 at the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) Stadium last night.
After squandering several gilt-edged chances in the first half, the Red Giants came alive after the break to find the back of the net in the 46th minute but the referee, after consulting the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system, ruled out Yohandry Orozco's attempt for offside.
But once Ronnie Fernandez broke the deadlock in the 57th minute, there was no stopping the Red Giants as Orozco went on to bag a brace in the 58th and 76th minutes before Reziq Mohammed Saleh Banihani wrapped up the proceedings with goal number four in injury time.
The win sees Selangor move up from eighth spot to fourth in the standings with six points after three matches, with NSFC propping up the table with no points.
