SHAH ALAM, May 26 — The state government is inviting the public to apply for the Environmental Small Grant (GKAS) to implement rainwater harvesting system projects and community gardens.

State executive councillor for the environment Jamaliah Jamaluddin said that grant applications worth up to RM10,000 can be submitted from June 1 to June 30.

“For rainwater harvesting system projects, applications can be made for domestic and small-scale agricultural use.

“Meanwhile, for community gardens, applicants are encouraged to apply for green spaces, environmental learning sites, and organic food sources,” she said in a Facebook post today.

Jamaliah added that participants must implement the projects from August 1 to October 30, with the report submission date on November 15.

Applications can be made by scanning the QR code displayed on the poster or at http://tiny.cc/GeranKecilAlamSekitar24.
