KLANG, May 18 — The First Selangor Plan's (RS-1) mid-term review will be presented either next month or by July at the latest, said Deputy State Secretary (Development) Datuk Johary Anuar.
Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari will present it during an engagement symposium and share the study.
“What is important here is that it is a crucial chapter addressing matters related to regional development proposals across Selangor.
“This sharing session is an approach to ensure that all parties can contribute, and the direction outlined in RS-1 can be highlighted,” he said during the Klang Royal City Council's 2023 Excellent Service And Recognition Awards ceremony at Dewan Hamzah yesterday.
First tabled two years ago, RS-1 outlines 14 macro indicators to achieve a balance between economic growth and improving the people's quality of life.
The plan, which aims to address current challenges, is driven by four cores, five policy catalysts, as well as 262 projects and initiatives via 19 catalyst drivers.
RS-1's four strategic cores include strengthening the economic sector, building the well-being of the people and social inclusivity, driving the sustainability agenda, and improving governance efficiency.
