SHAH ALAM, Feb 15 — The services and sacrifices of the Selangor Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) members in facing disaster situations, including major floods and the Covid-19 pandemic, are greatly appreciated.
Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said APM plays a significant role in mitigating the impact of disasters and providing assistance to victims.
“Their presence is significant and has a great impact, especially with the recent floods and the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Their preparedness is necessary, and we will strengthen it with a disaster unit to face any possibility in the future,” he said when met after officiating at the Selangor APM assembly today.
The ceremony which took place at Dewan Jubli Perak was attended by about 500 APM Selangor members.
As Honorary Commissioner of APM, Amirudin also thanked all the strategic partners of the team who helped make the programme, its operations and assignments a success throughout the past year.
