PETALING JAYA, Dec 24 —The 1970s Nostalgia Rentak Selangor Concert brought the audience back to fond memories and the glory of the country's music.
State executive councillor for rural and traditional villages development, Malay customs, culture and heritage Borhan Aman Shah said the concert themed 'Reborn Love' is also an effort to appreciate and appreciate the values of art for the new generation in particular.
"It is also a form of appreciation to the great artists who have added to the richness of the music of the country in that golden age.
"Rentak Selangor has become a unique platform that appreciates our artistic and cultural heritage by encouraging visitors to participate in the retro theme, wearing 70s-era clothes." he said at the opening of the Selangor Rhythm Concert at the MBPJ Auditorium Hall, here last night.
Borhan said Rentak Selangor which has been organised annually is a platform to promote and pass on the beauty of local art and culture.
"I am confident that this Selangor Beat Nostalgia Songs of the 70s will have a positive impact on the art industry of the state of Selangor and the country.
"It strengthens Selangor's position as one of the centers of art and culture," he said.
The 1970s Selangor Nostalgia Beats Concert features performances by popular 1970s artists such as Hail Amir, A Razak Ismail, Junainah M Amin, Datin Effa Rizan and J Mizan.
In addition, various interesting events will be held including a 70s Retro themed modelling competition, a Favourite 70s Songs singing competition, a 70s Nostalgia exhibition and food sales.
