SHAH ALAM, Dec 20 — Three individuals, including two state government lawmakers, have been appointed as board members of the Selangor State Scholarship Fund (TKWBNS) today.
The two are Batu Tiga assemblyman and state Pakatan Harapan Youth chief Danial Al-Rashid Haron Aminar Rashid and two-term Kampung Tunku representative Lim Yi Wei, while the third appointee is Selangor Menteri Besar special task officer Mohd Nazri Noh.
The matter was confirmed by the State Secretary’s Office on Instagram.
In a post, it said the appointment letter presentation ceremony took place at the Selangor Economic Action Council meeting room, State Secretariat Building, here, today.
The appointment letters were presented by Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.
“Congratulations and best wishes on your appointments,” it said.
TKWBNS is one of several education funding programmes offered by the state government.
During the tabling of the 2024 Selangor Budget on November 10, Amirudin had announced the government’s commitment to continue with the initiative with an allocation of RM9 million.
“The state administration remains dedicated to extending this programme, ensuring Selangor’s children can pursue their studies at top-tier global universities,” he said.
