GOMBAK, Aug 6 — The discipline and unity within Pakatan Harapan and Barisan Nasional's (BN) machinery in the ongoing Selangor State Election will contribute to its candidates' potential victory in Gombak's three state seats.
Selangor Harapan chairman Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari said efforts are underway to persuade voters in aiding them to win all state seats can be won, come the polling day on August 12.
"I am certain that in Gombak, we can win all three seats, so we need to work even harder to secure victory this time," he said.
Gombak's three seats include Sungai Tua, which Amirudin has held since 2008 (formerly known as Batu Caves), Hulu Kelang, which is being contested by Juwairiya Zulkifli, and Gombak Setia by Datuk Megat Zulkarnain Omardin.
The Menteri Besar was speaking at a gotong-royong event to cook bubur, for the Asyura Perpaduan DUN Gombak Setia programme, at Pusat Komersial Taman Sri Gombak in Batu Caves yesterday evening.
On his part, Megat Zulkarnain said he is positive about winning Gombak Setia, based on the voters' openness, as well as the dedication and collaboration between Harapan and BN's machinery during the campaigning period.
"This is not merely empty talk, as I will continue to engage with as many voters as possible and convince them until the last moment of the campaign," he said.
