SHAH ALAM, July 21 — The Jelajah JobCare roadshow, set to tour nine districts in Selangor, has been rescheduled to the end of August to make way for the upcoming state election.

Beginning in the Petaling district, the Selangor Workers’ Empowerment Unit (UPPS) said the programme would offer 10,000 job opportunities, including positions in the service, manufacturing, and logistics sectors.

According to its chief coordinator Vijayan Subramaniam, the job opportunities are not limited to only youths but are also open to various age groups and disabled persons.

“So, those seeking employment are encouraged to attend, and further announcements will be made once the actual dates are confirmed,” he said when contacted yesterday.

Vijayan said at least 20 employers from various companies and agencies will join to conduct interviews with the programme’s participants.

The initiative, in collaboration with the Social Security Organisation, also offers job opportunities in transportation, healthcare, and hospitality.

Jelajah JobCare is a state government initiative aimed at helping individuals with low, medium, and high skills to secure employment in various sectors.
