SHAH ALAM, July 19 — The construction of a 100-metre anti-climbing fence along Jalan SS 9A/19 in Petaling Jaya was completed at a cost of RM40,000 on July 13.

Incumbent Kampung Tunku state assemblyman Lim Yi Wei stated the fence was built to protect residents or cleaning workers from falling off the slope.

"This is the third project under Projek Selangor Penyayang (PSP), which began on May 24 and was fully completed on July 13, using a RM40,000 allocation.

"Besides serving as a safety barrier, the fence can prevent illegal dumping down the slope," she said yesterday.

Lim added she hopes the fence will enhance residents' safety and of road users in the area, as well as combat illegal dumping activities.

Prior to this, two other PSP projects were also carried out, including the upgrading of the drainage system at Taman SEA Market at a cost of RM50,000, and the repair of roofs and facilities at Taman SEA National Secondary School (RM62,300).
