SHAH ALAM, June 22 — The Kampung Tunku state constituency service centre has allocated RM62,300 to carry out upgrade works on several worn facilities at SMK Taman Sea.

Its state assemblyman Lim Yi Wei said the funds were derived from the Projek Selangor Penyayang (PSP) initiative this year, which includes repairs to piping, roof drainage, and waterproofing.

"Other upgraded facilities include the toilets, replacing the asbestos roofs, as well as installing heavy-duty water pumps and tanks to supply water to the toilets and science laboratories," she said.

Lim added she hopes the students and teachers will be more committed and enthusiastic in their studies, once the improvements have been carried out and the school is given a new lease on life.

"I hope the school community will make good use of the upgraded facilities and avoid engaging in vandalism," she said.

During the tabling of the 2023 Selangor Budget on November 25 last year, RM28 million was allocated to implement PSP, as part of the efforts to accelerate and stimulate the local economy by providing small projects for the benefit of Selangor residents.
