SHAH ALAM, Dec 25 — Application for the Shelter Home Grant under Wanita Berdaya Selangor (WBS) is open until December 31, says state executive councillor for family and women development Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud.
She said the grant was part of the state government’s initiative to help improve shelter homes for women and children.
“It is to ensure the safety and protection of the women and children who were victims of domestic abuse and violence.
“Application form and further information could be obtained via WBS website at https://bit.ly/3YzhPs5,” she said on Facebook.
The allocation for existing shelter homes aimed to upgrade its facilities or services and to purchase assets which would benefit its residents.
Apart from that, the fund can also be utilised for training programmes to handle domestic abuse issues and to develop more skills for the residents to be independent when they leave the shelter homes.
