SHAH ALAM, Dec 6 — Tan Sri Johan Jaafar has launched the book “dot dot dot…” by U-Wei Haji Saari at the 2022 Selangor International Book Fair (SIBF) at the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) Convention Centre, here yesterday.
The National Journalism Laureate described the book as a special manuscript as it contains writings from film and theater directors of various genres.
“I believe the book would be liked by many because it was produced by a famous and authoritative director who has brought the country to the international stage.
“This book is a compilation of U-Wei’s essays, most of which have been published in the Dewan Budaya magazine produced by the Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP).
“However, there is a new essay in the book titled Nuraina Anak Bapak A. Samad which has never been published anywhere else. It is an essay based on a book written by Nuraina Samad entitled Tuesday With Bapak,” he said.
Johan also added that he felt honoured to launch the book and hopes that U-Wei will continue to produce more books, films and theater.
The book “dot dot dot…” published by Forum Press Sdn Bhd is 284 pages long and sells for RM45 each. It can be found at SIBF and other bookstores after the book fair.
