SUBANG JAYA, Oct 3 — Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim launched the book ‘SCRIPT - For A Better Malaysia’ that outlines six key aspects that will shape the future of a developed and dynamic nation, here yesterday.

The six aspects outlined in the Opposition leader’s manuscript are sustainability, caring, respectful, innovative, prosperous, and trust.

The book published by Darul Ehsan Institute (IDE) in collaboration with the Centre for Postnormal Policy and Future Studies (CPPFS) emphasises the policy framework in meeting the needs and future potential of the country.

In addition, the 180-page document outlined approaches for the recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic that hit the country for the past two years.

It also invited the public, especially the government, to learn from the pandemic incident, correct the failures which occurred and be ready to face other obstacles that may arise in the future.

The book also covered topics on social crisis and the country’s economy, which include living cost, inflation and national food safety.

Several measures were proposed in building a better nation, including reducing ministers’ salaries and expenses, and drawing up solid strategic plans in each minister’s portfolio.

Other suggestions included are reviewing current and ongoing projects taking into account cost factors and environmental impacts, in addition to abolishing tolls for low-income groups (B40) by providing digital toll passes.
