SHAH ALAM, Sept 14 — Some 40 officers from various state government agencies have enrolled in the Certified Integrity Officer (CeIO) programme held by Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) or MBI at the Darul Ehsan building, here.
MBI said the course organised by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) starting from yesterday until October 6, aimed to raise awareness among the participants in the aspect of preventing corruption, abuse of power, and fraud as well as fostering a work culture with integrity.
Among the participants are MBI chief executive officer Norita Mohd Sidek and Yayasan Warisan Anak Selangor (Yawas) general manager Gan Pei Pei.
Previously, Norita had said MBI was entrusted to organise the CelO programme for individuals and working groups in the country.
“Before this, the course was held by MACC through their own Malaysian Anti-Corruption Academy and those interested to join had to wait for their turn as the registration was limited.
“Therefore, when MBI was entrusted to organise the course, we could help to expedite the process. Our part was only to provide the venue and facilities because the training and courses are still being conducted by MACC,” she said.
