SHAH ALAM, — Heavy rain, strong winds and thunderstorms are anticipated for the district of Gombak and Hulu Langat until tonight.
Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) in a statement released at 5.35pm said the inclement weather will last until 9pm today.
The agency said other states and locations which are expected to undergo strong weather include Sarawak: Miri (Subis, Beluru, Miri and Marudi) and Limbang, and Sabah: Pantai Barat (Ranau), Tawau and Sandakan (Tongod and Beluran).
The agency issues a warning when there are signs of thunderstorms with rainfall intensity exceeding 20mm/hour which are expected to occur over the one-hour duration.
Thunderstorm warnings are short-term and are valid within six hours after it was issued.
