MACC entrusts MBI to organise Certified Integrity Officer programme in Selangor

By Mustakim Ramli

SHAH ALAM, Sept 2 — Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) or MBI has been entrusted by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to organise the Certified Integrity Officer (CeIO) programme for individuals and groups working in the state.

Thus, MBI chief executive officer Norita Mohd Sidek said coming soon a total of 60 participants involving employees of MBI subsidiaries and government-related companies will participate in the course.

"Previously CeIO is organised by MACC themselves at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Academy (MACA) and those interested in taking this course had to wait a long time due to the registration process and participation was limited.

"So now that MBI has been entrusted to organise this course, the process can be accelerated. We only need to provide the venue and facilities. In terms of training and courses, it is still conducted by MACC," she said after the Corruption-Free Pledge (IBR) signing ceremony at Dewan Raja Muda Musa here yesterday.

The ceremony was also attended by Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari, who also launched the MBI’s Integrity Guidelines Handbook.
