SHAH ALAM, July 13 — The state government has constructed a total of 130,545 affordable housing units to ensure Selangor residents possess comfortable homes.
Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari said of this figure, 78,132 were built for Rumah Selangorku Idaman through 31 projects while 52,413 were built for Rumah Selangorku Harapan through 45 projects.
"Rumah Selangorku Idaman and Rumah Selangorku Harapan were built so that the people of Selangor can have comfortable homes. They can take advantage of it via the Smart Smart Sewa Kemudian Beli scheme (2STAY)," he said on Twitter.
Earlier on, Amirudin said over 126,000 units from both housing types are being offered to the public. The remainder is given to the state government for the implementation of 2STAY.
Approximately 24,428 Rumah Selangorku units have successfully been completed and offered to residents, from 2018 to November 15, 2021.
The most units completed is the Type C homes at 9,294, followed by Type D (7,822), Type B (4,122 units), Type A (2,019) and Type E (1,171).
