KUALA LANGAT, June 26 — The Selangor Platform (Plats) will commence digital development training for hawkers throughout the state in the third quarter of 2022.

Permodalan Negeri Selangor Berhad (PNSB) senior public relations manager Alina Idris said the programme involves cooperation from 12 local authorities.

“With Plats in high usage and demand, we will continue the branding and upgrading activities for the platform.

"The Selangor Digital Partner Ambassadors (RDS) will track hawkers and grocers to digitise them by registering in the Plats directory to increase sales," she said.

Alina was speaking at the handover of Plats stickers to the Kuala Langat Municipal Council (MPKL) in conjunction with the Jelajah Selangor Penyayang roadshow at Dataran Pantai Morib yesterday.

She added that a total of 10,119 traders have registered with Plats since the end of May, with 139 of them from Kuala Langat.

"We will continue the campaign to invite traders to register in the Plats directory through the website www.platselangor.com.my," Alina said.

Plats was introduced during the Ramadan period two years ago, to complete the Selangor Digitalisation Agenda ecosystem with a digital platform, following the outbreak of the Covid-19 epidemic.

On April 11 last year, Plats 2.0 was launched to help traders generate continuous income, instead of being limited to the fasting month only.

The third iteration of the virtual platform was continued this year in April, which also involved collaboration with RDS.
