SHAH ALAM, June 3 — Starting today the Selangor Pavilion at the Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair (KLIBF) 2022 will be open to the public at the KL World Trade Centre.

The space in conjunction with Selangor as a guest state prepares a variety of information on Selangor's incentives including the financing of the Hijrah Selangor scheme and Yayasan Selangor education scholarships, from 10am to 10pm.

Up to 19 agencies are involved including Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) or MBI Invest Selangor, the Selangor State Development Corporation and Tourism Selangor.

"Asides from selling books, we will also publicise all Selangor incentives. At the same time, the counter will be opened to make it easier for visitors to register directly," said Selangor Public Library Corporation (PPAS) representative Mohamed Fadzli Mohd Fauzi.

Meanwhile, in a Facebook post, PPAS announced the Hati dan Minda Sasterawan programme at last year's Selangor Book Fair will also be arranged for KLIBF 2022.

The hour-long programme will be run by author Siti Raihani and will see the participation of several writers including Prof Emeritus Muhamad Haji Saleh, Fadli Al-Akiti as well as the son of A Samad Said, Helmy Samad.

KLIBF 2022 has returned once more after two years of being postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic and is targeting up to one million attendees throughout its 10-day run.

Over 700 exhibition stalls have been set up, involving 300 domestic and international publishers including those from Indonesia, Singapore and Türkiye.
