SHAH ALAM, April 26 — The Senandung Aidilfitri programme organised by the state government to be broadcasted on the second day of Hari Raya Aidilfitri is targeting 500,000 views for three consecutive days.
State executive councillor for culture and heritage Borhan Aman Shah said viewers regardless of age can watch the entertainment programme on all Media Selangor social media platforms.
"We hope the number of views this time will be higher than the target as this time we are hearkening back to the nostalgia of Hari Raya during the 1980s and 1990s.
"Perhaps youths now did not have the opportunity to experience Aidilfitri during those times but they can watch how it was like on the programme, while older viewers can have fond recollections," he said during the Borak Santai talk show on SelangorTV's YouTube channel yesterday.
Senandung Aidilfitri, which was first broadcasted last year during the prohibition on travelling back to one's hometown as a result of the Movement Control Order, can be seen on selangortv.my and on social media at 9pm.
Among the popular artists of the 80s and 90s featured in the programme include Ziana Zain and Roy Alwi, while newcomers include Sissy Imann, Elyana Emrizal and Haziq Rosebi.
Sissy together with Bell Ngasri, Azlee Senario and Raja Azura will also perform a sketch based on the themes of flood aid, Aidilfitri habits and traditional Javanese foods like nasi ambeng.
