SHAH ALAM, April 12 — Klang Municipal Council (MPK) is offering traffic offenders a special discount on compound rates from as low as RM15 for various offences.
Its Corporate Communication director Norfiza Mahfiz said the campaign, which started yesterday until April 30, provides an opportunity for the public to clear their unpaid traffic compound notices.
“However, offences such as parking in special space, parking in people with disabilities’ space or obstructing parking space are not included in this campaign.
“The public is urged to take advantage of the campaign before it ends at the end of this month,” she said in a statement yesterday.
Payment could also be made via JomPay (Biller Code: 84277); MPKlang Smart Parking mobile application, i-Kiosk machine (located at MPK headquarters lobby) and through ipay.mpklang.gov.my.
Apart from that, payment could also be made at counters located at the MPK headquarters lobby, MPK Tengku Kelana, MPK Jalan Raya Barat and MPK Kompleks Pasar Besar Jalan Meru, from Monday to Friday, between 8.30am until 4pm.
MPK’s payment counter is also open at Giant Hypermarket Bukit Tinggi in Klang every Monday to Friday from 10.30am to 4pm.
Checks can be made at the MPK website, ipay.mpklang.gov.my/home/kompaun and via the MPKlang Smart Parking app.
