DAMANSARA, March 25 —The PJKita@Sri Damansara market in Bandar Sri Damansara here, which starts operating this week, provides various facilities to meet the needs of thousands of residents in the area.
Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari said the public market that is equipped with good safety aspects not only sells wet and dry goods but also has a food court.
“This building features is more modern, has a good ventilation system, suitable storage space, as well as the separation of halal and non-halal goods and provides multiple entries and exit points, which is important in public health care

"Although it was set up in an industrial area, the ninth market in Petaling Jaya will ease the burden of residents around Sri Damansara, Damansara Perdana, Damansara Damai and Kota Damansara to find daily necessities," he said at a press conference after officiating the market.
Therefore, Amirudin said the market design concept will be expanded according to the needs of the residents in the area.
“A few months ago, I officiated a public market in Sri Muda, Shah Alam and a hawker centre in Sabak Bernam. This is all part of a project planned by the Selangor government.
"However, planning for development such as this takes time because it involves land acquisition," he said.
During the ceremony, he also visited the market as well as talked with the traders.
