SHAH ALAM, Dec 21 — Over 500 flood victims in Bukit Changgang were rescued by boat, as of 9.55pm last night.
Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said all the victims were transferred to Masjid KLIA.
“More than 500 victims were evacuated to Masjid KLIA. The remaining victims will be evacuated tomorrow (today).
“Currently there are 15 boats in use for the operation, and we will add more from the police and army’s assets,” he said on Facebook.
Meanwhile on Twitter, Amirudin said the rescue works will continue to help victims who were stranded by the flooding at Taman Sri Ehsan near Banting, today.
“We will mobilise five-tonne and 10-tonne lorries to help the victims in Taman Sri Ehsan tomorrow (today).
“We are focusing on the area. (I will be) with the rescue team early morning tomorrow (today),” he said yesterday.
