Free Covid-19 screening in Bandar Bukit Puchong on Saturday

SHAH ALAM, March 11 — Residents of Bandar Bukit Puchong and nearby areas have been urged to take part in the Covid-19 community screening programme on March 13.

Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin said the Covid-19 testing operation will take place at the Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) Multipurpose Hall from 9am to 4pm.

“Residents from Taman Mutiara Indah and Taman Saujana Puchong are also encouraged to be present for screening on that day,” Amirudin announced in a poster on Facebook.

The public can register through the SELangkah (Step In Safely) mobile application and use the screening function or log on to screening.selangkah.my.

The Selangor government had set aside RM6 million to organise the free Covid-19 community initiative throughout the state to curb the spread of the virus.

The targeted programme is aimed at 50,000 state residents involving densely populated areas and those from the low-income groups.

A total of 4,352 individuals have since participated in the screening programme as of February, which include 894 senior citizens from 32 old folks’ care centres.
