CMCO in Selangor extended until Dec 31 except three districts

SHAH ALAM, Dec 18 — The conditional movement control order (CMCO) in Selangor which was supposed to end this Sunday has been extended until December 31, said Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

However, he said that three districts namely Sabak Bernam, Hulu Selangor and Kuala Selangor were exempted from the order.

He explained that Selangor had recorded 22,931 Covid-19 cases as of December 17, 2020 and there is marked increase in the state’s industrial districts.

“The Covid-19 cases among citizens have also increased,” he said during a press conference today.

The CMCO was first implemented in the Klang Valley on October 14 following the surge in Covid-19 cases.
