SHAH ALAM, Dec 16 — Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) property sales value have not been affected much by the Covid-19 pandemic, said its chief operating officer Suhaimi Kasdon.

Suhaimi Kasdon said the depreciation in sales value only occurred in March and April this year during the implementation of the movement control order (MCO) but have since recovered after May.

“When the pandemic occurred, PKNS took new initiatives to attract homebuyers by marketing and selling (properties) online.

“This year, we targeted more than RM643 million and at this juncture, we have achieved RM638 million or 99.3 per cent (of our target),” he said during the press conference for the ‘48-Hour Year End Must Buy’ online campaign at the PKNS headquarters today.

PKNS launched a few programmes, including digitally, to spur property sales following the nationwide enforcement of the MCO on March 18.

Among the programmes were the ‘48-Hour Must Buy@Online’ on June 20-21, ‘48-Hour Must Buy@Bernam Jaya’ (July 18-19), ‘48-Hour PKNS Merdeka Bonanza’ (August 29-30), the ‘48-Hour Must Buy@Antara Gapi 2.0’ (September 26-27) which amounted to RM48.4 million in total properties sold.
