SHAH ALAM, Dec 8 —The standard operating procedure (SOP) for Friday and daily mass prayers at mosques and suraus in Selangor will be announced soon.

Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the proposal by the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (Jais) had been presented to the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj.

“The proposal includes all areas, especially Kuala Selangor, Hulu Langat and Sabak Bernam, which are not enforced under the conditional movement control order (CMCO).

“The proposal was discussed by the state executive councillor with Jais. So let us wait for the good news in a day or two,” he said after officiating the anti-drugs mural pathway and the Selangor’s Malaysian Drug Prevention Association (Pemadam) office at the Selangor State Secretariat Building here today.

Since October 15, Jais had allowed nor more than six congregants to perform daily prayers at mosques and suraus following the enforcement of CMCO.

The CMCO in Selangor started on October 14 and was extended until December 20, except for Sabak Bernam, Hulu Selangor and Kuala Selangor.
