Health workers from Pahang, Kedah help battle Covid-19 in Selangor

KLANG, Nov 26 — Health workers from Pahang and Kedah are lending a helping hand in battling the Covid-19 outbreak in Selangor following the recent upsurge in cases in Klang.

Klang Health District officer Dr Masitah Mohamed said the Selangor State Health Department and health personnel from other districts in the state have also joined in the efforts.

“Following the spike in cases, we had received additional help to assist in the efforts in curbing the spread of the outbreak, which also includes from the Rompin Health District Office (Pahang) and the Kedah State Health Department,” she said to SelangorKini yesterday when met at an operation held at the Top Glove F4 factory in Jalan Teratai, here.

Also present were Klang District officer Mohd Zainal Mohd Nor, Klang Municipal Council president Dr Ahmad Fadzli Ahmad Tajuddin, Top Glove managing director Datuk Lee Kim Meow and Klang Utara District police chief Assistant Commissioner Nurulhuda Mohd Salleh.

As of yesterday, 4,063 out of the 6,506 individuals screened from the Teratai Cluster were tested positive for Covid-19, in which a majority of them are the Top Glove workers and those residing in Kuala Lumpur.

Selangor had recorded its highest daily cases on Tuesday at 1,623 but saw a significant drop yesterday with 115 new Covid-19 cases.
