SHAH ALAM, April 7 — A total of 20 Smart Selangor buses are used to transport Malaysians who have arrived at the airports to the quarantine centres in Selangor.

Selangor Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari said the state government will bear the cost of maintenance and the operation of the buses.

"As of today, 20 Smart Selangor buses are operating daily to transport Malaysians who have arrived at the airports to the 14 quarantine centres in Selangor," he said via his official Twitter account yesterday.

The Smart Selangor Bus on April 3 began its first mission in transporting Malaysians who had arrived from Chennai, India, to the quarantine centres.

The Federal government previously said that Malaysians who return to the country would immediately be quarantined for 14 days.

Among the quarantine centres located in Selangor include the Health Ministry Training Institute in Sungai Buloh, Malaysian Muslim Training Institute in Bangi, Judicial and Legal Training Institute in Bangi, Fire and Rescue Academic Centre in Kuala Kubu Bharu and Al-Nabawiyah Madrasah in Kajang.
