SHAH ALAM, April 7 — About 2,200 families in Bandar Baru Klang have received basic necessities and ‘Jom Shopping’ vouchers during the ongoing movement control order (MCO).
State assemblyman Datuk Teng Chang Khim said the essentials were distributed in stages since April 1, which included families residing in five low-cost apartments located in his constituency.
Among the apartments involved were Mawar Cempaka and Dahlia apartments in Bandar Baru Klang, Pelangi Indah apartment in Jalan Pekan Baru and Rebana apartment in Bandar Bukit Raja.
"I hope the daily essentials distributed will lighten the burden of the residents during the MCO period.
"I also hope everyone in Selangor will take precautionary measures and remain at home in order to break the chain of the Covid-19 infection," he said.
Teng, who is also the Selangor Investment, Industry and Trade, Small and Medium Industries Committee chairman, had also advised those with Covid-19 symptoms to get themselves checked at the nearest clinic or hospital.
