SHAH ALAM, April 3 — Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) has donated RM2 million to the Selangor Covid-19 Fund in a show of support for the state administration's efforts in tackling the Covid-19 outbreak.

The state Covid-19 fund was launched by Selangor Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari on April 1.

“The donation also includes a contribution of RM500,000 worth of equipment to the Shah Alam Hospital.

"Thank you to TNB for this donation," Amirudin wrote on his official Twitter account today.

The state government had set up the Selangor Covid-19 Fund for those who wish to contribute in the fight against the coronavirus outbreak.

The public can channel their support by depositing money to the Maybank Islamic account (562106684326) in Malaysian Ringgit.

The donations can be made through internet banking, cheque, Real-Time Electronic Transfer of Fund and Securities (Rentas) system, via ATM machines, and telegraphic (TT) transfer.

All donations are tax exempted under Subsection 44(6) of the Income Tax Act by the Inland Revenue Board (IRB).
