PM, ministers, deputies to take two-month salary cut

SUBANG JAYA, March 26 — Federal ministers and its deputies, including the prime minister, will take a two-month salary cut for the Covid-19 Fund.

In a statement today, the Prime Minister’s Office said the decision was decided in the Cabinet meeting, yesterday.

As of last night, the total collection of the Covid-19 Fund, which was launched by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin on March 11, is at RM8,493,103.48.

"The Cabinet had decided that the salary of the Prime Minister, ministers, and deputy ministers will be cut and channelled into the Covid-19 Fund.

"This move goes to show the government’s efforts to help those who are affected by the Covid-19 outbreak," the statement read.
