GOMBAK - The residents of the Sungai Tua state constituency are delighted that the tradition of visiting on Aidilfitri by Selangor Menteri Besar, Amirudin Shari to several houses in the area is still ongoing.

JKP Selayang Municipal Council Zone 8 Member, Mohamad Faizal Ismail, said he was delighted with the presence of Amirudin who came almost every year to support the people in the state assembly.

He said he was optimistic that the visitation would continue to be a tradition and would increase the bond between leaders and residents.

"Thank you Dato 'Menteri Besar for almost 10 years, from before being appointed as the Chief Minister until he has been appointed, he is willing to attend and has never failed to continue visiting the Sungai Tua constituency," said Mohamad Faizal.

"In fact, I am very proud of his actions that are always close to the Village Head and residents in Sungai Tua," he said.

He said this when met by Media Selangor after the Hari Raya Pilgrimage program, Dato 'Menteri Besar Selangor, Amirudin Shari at Batu Caves Public Field, here on 9 June.

Earlier, Amirudin, who was also a member of the Sungai Tua State Assembly, visited 10 of the prime houses around the state assembly with his wife, Masdiana Muhamad and his family.

It is understood that the tradition had been practiced by Amirudin for the last 10 years aimed at creating friendship and communicating with other platforms as well as knowing the current situation of an area.
