SHAH ALAM, AUG 31: Although the Pakatan Harapan Presidential Council (Pakatan) has confirmed that there will be no further discussion on the its coalition with any political party, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali believes that there is still room for consensus.

The Pakatan Vice President said, there will be continuous effort to reach a consensus until they come to a decision, agreed by everyone, before the 14th General Election (GE14).

“We accept this decision and will start building our machinery for GE14 as per the Council’s decision.

“Nevertheless, I can still talk to anyone (consensus talk) towards that direction,” he said when met by reporters at the Selangor Independence Celebration at Dataran Kemerdekaan Shah Alam last night.

Earlier, with the party’s Chairman, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad; President, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail and three Deputy Presidents who are Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, Lim Guan Eng dan Mohamad Sabu, there was a joint statement that they are preparing for strategic framework ahead of the GE14.

This include a strategy in an event of a clash with another opposition party in the effort to overthrow Umno-Barisan Nasional in the GE14.

Presently, the opposition political party’s coalition remains as mandated by the people in GE13, where Umno-BN had failed to defeat Pakatan in Selangor.

In another development, Mohamed Azmin also denied medias’ negative speculations when he failed to attend a Pakatan’s meeting recently.

“I had other duties,” he responded briefly.
